Clinical reference materials for calibration verification testing of ammonia & iron assays
VERICHEM LABORATORIES has announced the availability of a multi-level set of liquid stable clinical reference materials for use with Ammonia and Iron testing.
This five-level standard kit, along with an optional and stand-alone ultra-high sixth level, is expressly designed for the calibration verification of both of the assays on automated clinical systems. The materials feature universal instrument compatibility and can be used with a broad offering of clinical systems offering varied test methodologies, including those from Abbott Diagnostics; Beckman Coulter; Roche Diagnostics; Siemens Healthineers; and many others.
The liquid stable format is free of glycols, surfactants, azides and other interfering substances. The set point design, with equidistant target concentrations, addresses the current CLIA requirements for calibration verification materials used for the determination of a clinical system’s accuracy, sensitivity, linearity, and reportable range. Plus, kit concentration levels of Iron from 10 mcg/dL to 1000 mcg/dL are verified using available Standard Reference Materials (SRM) from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); along with Ammonia concentrations of 10 mcg/dL to 2000 mcg/dL verified using reagent grade independent primary standards from the American Chemical Society (ACS).
All kit materials are filled within convenient and easy-to-use translucent polyethylene dropper vials containing an ample volume of fifteen milliliters (15 mL), which is ideal for numerous calibration verification and system troubleshooting events. All of the available materials are prepared from reagent grade source materials and feature an impressive shelf-life claim of twenty-four (24) months. In addition, a Certificate of Analysis (COA), indicating traceability and actual lot data, is provided with each kit.
