Bio-Rad to present workshop on new QC specifications, product displays and demos at ADLM 2024

Bio-Rad Laboratories will present an array of quality control-related offerings at this year’s Association for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) (formerly AACC) in Chicago on July 28-August 1.

Among its offerings to attendees, Bio-Rad will present an industry workshop event titled, “Embracing New Quality Specifications: Adjusting Lab Practices - CLIA 2024 and Beyond.”

The workshop, which will be held Wednesday, July 31st from 7:00a.m. – 8:30a.m. at the ​​Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, in the Grant Park CD Room, is designed to provide attendees with a key understanding of the implications of changing quality specifications using the new CLIA 2024 Proficiency Testing (PT) limits as an example. 

This workshop will start with an overview of how the changes in the quality specifications will affect existing QC workflow processes and then address the critical steps in QC troubleshooting, the necessity of revising risk assessment with new quality specifications and the value of Unity for preparing for CLIA 2024 PT.

Lab professionals can earn P.A.C.E. credits at the workshop. The discussion will include panel participation from James H. Nichols, PhD, DABCC, FADLM, Medical Director, Clinical Chemistry and POCT, Professor of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology, Vanderbilt University Medical Center; Lorin Bachmann, PhD, DABCC; Co-Director, Clinical Chemistry, VCU Health System; and John Yundt-Pacheco, MSCS, Principle Scientist, Sr, Bio-Rad Laboratories.
