The first Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program graduating class was honored on Monday, December 2, 2024.
SKYCTC runs the hybrid program in partnership with West Kentucky Community and Technical College to address local staffing shortages.
The graduates, Angel Blankenship, Caitlyn Durham, Dawson Deel, Claire Eaton, Mailey Ford, Hannah Griffin, Hayley Miller, Victoria Newland, Meghan Walz, Megan Word, and Kadie Whitson, were hired at regional healthcare institutions.
According to SKYCTC’s release, “As part of the ceremony, each graduate signed a "Going Pro" commitment of employment with one of four area employers: Cumberland County Hospital, Graves Gilbert Clinic, Med Center Health, and TJ Regional Health.”
