Someone you look up to in the industry: I have always looked up to Louis Pasteur and Robert Koch as giants in our field. Their groundbreaking work and contributions to microbiology, vaccination, and disease prevention have saved countless lives and shaped the course of medical history.
Koch's rigorous approach to scientific investigation and his development of the "gold standard" for microbial identification set a high bar for scientific rigor and attention to detail. I am grateful for the foundation they laid for our profession.
Favorite hobby: Cooking and dancing
Favorite movie of all time: “Margin Call,” because it captures the high-stakes world of finance, exploring the complexities of human decision making under pressure.
Favorite band or musician: Billy Joel
Favorite thing about working in a lab: What I love the most about working in the lab is being a vital part of patient care. Growing up, I saw my dad, a physician, constantly communicating with laboratory professionals about patient lab results. Now I am honored to be on the other side, facilitating accurate and timely results playing a behind-the-scenes role that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
