AHA and FBI collaborate to address targeted violence in healthcare

The goal of the partnership is to reduce healthcare violence.

The American Hospital Association (AHA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced a partnership and released resources to tackle targeted violence in healthcare.

According to AHA’s announcement, the partnership will “promote violence prevention strategies and address the escalating threats and acts of targeted violence against health care facilities and the workforce.”

Additionally, “the first resource is an issue brief examining threat assessment and threat management and steps to take should one identify a potential threat.”
