AABB announced in a release that applications for their 2025-2026 committee are due Saturday, February 15.
Committee terms begin in October. According to the release, applications will be kept on file for three years and AABB is encouraging members to apply.
“Committees are vital to the success of AABB. The Association’s committees and volunteers help ensure that the information it shares with the membership, public and media is timely and accurate. AABB committees also touch all aspects of blood and biotherapies, allowing members to help advance the field, influence new initiatives, meet like-minded professionals and expand their knowledge. In keeping with AABB’s commitment to personal and professional diversity, the Association especially encourages members who have not previously served on an AABB committee to apply,” AABB stated.
The association hopes that early career professionals will apply for their “junior committee membership,” stating that 40 seats are open.
Applicants will be informed of their standing by September.
