LigoLab provides its LIS at no cost to labs implementing COVID-19 testing
LigoLab Information System is providing its cloud-based laboratory information system at no cost to any lab implementing COVID-19 testing.
The company, based in Glendale, CA, also is providing existing customers in California, Washington and New York with workflow support and software interfaces to FDA-approved instruments to perform high-volume COVID-19 tests.
LigoLab LIS & RCM Operating Platform has successfully integrated with instruments from Roche (cobas 8800 and 6800 Systems), Thermo Fisher Scientific (Applied Biosystems 7500), QIAGEN (QIAstat-Dx analyzer), Bio-Rad (CFX PCR detection systems), and Hologic (Panther Fusion system), the company said in a news release.
“We’ve been in constant contact with our client labs, and we’ve deployed the solution in multiple high-volume laboratories,” said LigoLab Information System CEO Suren Avunjian.
To ensure physicians and patients are notified as quickly as possible about test results, LigoLab Operating Platform will distribute the patient reports using several channels, including a patient and provider portal, any EHR, and via email, fax and SMS.
LigoLab also announced that it is partnering with TestDirectly.com, a direct-to-consumer, LIS-agnostic digital health company that specializes in direct to consumer clinical testing. The companies plan to roll out in the next two weeks a web-based service allowing consumers to check symptoms, consult with a doctor using a built-in telemedicine platform, order a test, find a local drive-through site for safe testing, and get prompt results, LigoLab said.
