The goal of the framework is to utilize this technology to improve healthcare quality. Keeping the public safe is a priority.
HHS outlined four strategic goals of the Plan in their announcement:
- Accelerating the advancement and fostering of health AI to help improve quality of life.
- Reduce the risk of negative outcomes by encouraging dependable AI development and promoting ethics.
- Make technology and resources accessible to all.
- “Cultivate AI-empowered workforces and organizational cultures to allow staff to make the best use of AI.”
The Plan will continue to be updated as AI changes and advances.
