Bio SB, Inc., a molecular pathology company based out of Santa Barbara, CA, has announced that they now offer a new line of Fast Mohs IHC antibodies and detection systems for immunohistochemical cancer detection on frozen tissue after Mohs surgery. This launch includes 10 new TintoFast monoclonal antibodies, two new Mohs PolyDetector Detection systems, and a new Mohs ImmunoDigestor for IVD applications.
The most common reason for recurrence of skin cancers after Mohs micrographic surgery is residual undetected tumor. Frozen tissue immunohistochemistry (IHC) has demonstrated greater sensitivity than routine H&E stains, which are difficult to interpret.
Bio SB has developed a highly sensitive non-biotin monovalent Fab micropolymer IHC detection system for the detection of IVD antibodies for melanoma, BCC, SCC and other Mohs surgery related conditions.
Their IHC detection systems and high affinity monoclonal antibodies have opened the doors for a faster and accurate IHC applicable to Mohs surgery. Their new product launch includes TintoFast prediluted antibodies for melanoma diagnosis, including MART-1, MiTF, and SOX-10.
