Happy new year to all of our readers!

A new year can be a time of reflection, fresh goals, and exciting new beginnings. With that in mind, I’m delighted to introduce myself as the Group Editorial Director for Medical Laboratory Observer, Healthcare Innovation, and Healthcare Purchasing News. I’ve actually been here for a while working behind the scenes, but as we launch into our 2026 planning, this feels like the perfect time to step forward, connect with you, and share our plans for what you can expect in the year ahead.

My Background

With nearly 30 years in marketing, communications, and publishing, most of it dedicated to healthcare, I’ve had a front-row seat to our industry’s remarkable evolution. I’ve worked both on the agency side and within a large academic medical center, witnessing transformative shifts, including the Affordable Care Act’s push toward electronic health records and value-based care, the explosion of AI and digital technologies, and the growing emphasis on patient-centered communication.

As healthcare leaders, you’re navigating an overflow of information while making critical decisions daily. I genuinely appreciate that you continue to trust these three longstanding brands—Medical Laboratory Observer (since 1969), Healthcare Purchasing News (since 1977), and Healthcare Innovation (since 1981). It is an honor to join brands with such rich histories, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.

My goal is to ensure we deliver the timely, actionable insights you need, whether you’re leading clinical laboratories, building resilient supply chains, or navigating the rapidly changing technology landscape and AI. I have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our talented teams of editors to keep you informed across print, digital, webinars, and social media.

What to Expect in 2026

Along with all the great content you have come to expect from us, here are some of the things we are working on for you this year:

  • Medical Laboratory Observer: New original research from our Endeavor Insights team, online-exclusive articles and interviews, webinars with industry thought leaders, and expanded Continuing Education opportunities that you’ve made so popular.
  • Healthcare Innovation: Monthly in-depth feature topics exploring key issues from multiple angles, plus monthly technology/product roundups highlighting new releases, updates, and comparisons. You’ll also hear more from me through blogs, webinars, and social media—across all three brands.
  • Healthcare Purchasing News: Monthly in-depth feature topics, and fresh ideas and episodes for our podcast. Watch for announcements soon.

Let’s Connect

To deliver the most valuable content possible, I truly want your input. Please reach out anytime. Tell me the topics you need covered most urgently and how you prefer to consume information, whether that’s podcasts during your commute, on-demand webinars, in-depth articles, or print editions.

Don’t miss our upcoming Healthcare Innovation Summits in Washington, D.C., San Diego, and Houston. I would love to meet you there, or at ViVe or HIMSS, or other industry events.

Feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Connect with me on LinkedIn and follow our social channels.

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. Here’s to a transformative 2026 together!

Best Regards,
