Favorite movie of all time: I have many favorites — it is hard to pick one — but 2004’s “Something The Lord Made,”  which highlights Laboratory Technologist Vivien Thomas and his work with Dr. Alfred Blalock in pioneering pediatric cardiac surgery in correcting Tetralogy of Fallot, is relevant to the importance of laboratory professionals in advancing medicine.

Favorite thing about working in a lab: My favorite thing about working in the lab is the opportunity to teach non-laboratory professionals how to perform waived laboratory testing and the ability to bring the laboratory out to the point of patient care at primary and specialty offices.
