received her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed a fellowship in clinical microbiology at the Mayo Clinic, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology. She is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology and Director of the Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital.
