Multivolume spectrophotometer system

Designed to allow the user to run a variety of assays in an assortment of sample vessels and volume ranges, the Epoch Multi-Volume Spectrophotometer system combines the microplate spectrophotometer and the Take3 multivolume plate. The system allows users to preserve sample material by using the multivolume plate to quantitate 2-μL volumes of DNA, RNA, and proteins. With a wavelength range of 200 nm to 999 nm, the microplate spectrophotometer provides outstanding performance in nucleic-acid and protein quantification, wavelength scanning, end-point, kinetic, and well-area scanning in six- to 384-well microplates. The plate allows users to measure up to 16 2-µL samples, two BioCells, or a standard cuvette.

Microplate washer protected when unattended

The ELx405 Magnetic Bead Washer offers high-strength biomagnetic separation in both 384-well and 96-well microplates. Rapid separation of micrometer- and nanometer-scale magnetic beads is possible in full microplate format for fast wash cycles, and a high-energy neodymium iron boron magnet provides superior retention for rapid and uniform separation in each microplate well. Pipet offers improved accuracy and sterility

Redesigned 50 mL Serological Pipets are constructed from high clarity virgin polystyrene and are certified RNase-, DNase-, pyrogen-free, and non-cytotoxic. The smooth non-welded tip eliminates sample hang-up, leakage, and breakage. A 3-mm ID opening minimizes shear, and sterile, individual one-side-paper, one-side-plastic packaging is easily opened by peeling or pushing through the paper. A colored woven polypropylene plug provides easy size identification. There are forward and reverse 0.5-mL graduations and printed volumes at 1-mL intervals and negative graduations to -5.5-mL. Accuracy is ± 1.5 % and sterility better than 10-⁶.

Reliable temperature recording

The TCR Temperature Chart Recorder is a stand-alone unit that gives accurate and reliable temperature recording within a specified range. The TCR 1 records ambient conditions from 0°C to 35°C. The TCR 2 is used for refrigerators ranging from -5°C to 20°C, and the TCR 3 is used for freezers in the operating range of -50°C to 0°C. In addition, all three units can be programmed to operate at any of the three available ranges. The TCR is a 4", seven-day, circular chart recorder with inkless, pressure-sensitive chart paper.
