Mobile blood processing system

The StatSpin Mobile system can be used anywhere that blood collection and processing is required. Because it runs off an alternative power source such as a car battery, it can be operated in remote locations such as blood drives, home healthcare, nursing homes, rural locations, disaster-preparedness sites, emergency vehicles, and battlefront-medicine facilities. The system includes a military-grade case with a lifetime warranty, a Statspin Express 3 centrifuge, power inverter, power cord, and a sharps container. Eight tubes up to 10 mL can be processed in two minutes. The brushless motor is maintenance-free.

High-speed, universal centrifuges

The Z 326 and Z 326 K centrifuges accept tubes up to 100 mL. Multiple rotor options and a maximum RCF of 22, 454 x g make the Z 326 series useful for a variety of applications. A powerful microprocessor controls all operating parameters. Both actual and set values can be viewed at all times on the large LCD. Adjustable braking intensity, radius correction, and program storage are some of the programming functions available on these instruments. A continuous flow of air through the chamber keeps temperatures from rising significantly in the ambient Z 326. The Z 326 K features a refrigeration system that can cool all rotors below 4°C, even at maximum speed, rapidly cooling the chamber to the desired temperature at the touch of a button.

Multipurpose microcentrifuge

Cross-over Centrifuge 5430 R is a microcentrifuge with multipurpose capabilities — it spins tubes from 0.2 mL to 50 mL and microplates. The in­stru­ment has a maximum speed of 30,130 x g (17,500 rpm) and requires only 15 inches of bench space. Users can spin 15-mL and 50-mL conical tubes and PCR or ELISA plates directly on the lab bench. Refrigerated Model 5430 R is also equipped with temperature management options to protect valuable samples and save energy. The system stores up to 50 routine programs, and the menu is in German, English, French, and Spanish.

Compact, low cost centrifuge

The StatSpin CytoFuge 12 is a cytocentrifuge that concentrates up to 12 samples and gently deposits cells in a monolayer onto microscope slides for a variety of cell preparations. For safety, the unit operates only when the outer lid is locked. Inside is a removable sealed rotor that can be loaded into a hood to eliminate exposure to biohazards; the sealed rotor also can be autoclaved. The program key pad is easy to use and up to 24 programs can be stored. The unit operates from 200 rpm to 2,000 rpm. Samples from 50 µL up to 800 µL are processed with high cell recovery.
